Her Story

 

I started my sophomore year of college with a new major, great girlfriends and growing faith in God. In the midst of so much change and excitement, I didn’t give much thought to the new guy on campus from New Jersey that my friends and I had met briefly. Our polite exchanges at the gym, on sidewalks, and the cafeteria soon turned into 4 hour-long talks about anything and everything. It was pretty apparent; I had met my best friend. After 6 months of friendship, prayer and lets face it, attraction, I entered into a journey with the man of my dreams that I am going to spend the rest of my life with. The more I learn about him, the more I love him. He’s taught me what it means to love someone like Christ loves us. Patiently. Selflessly. Unconditionally.

His Story

​I arrived for my junior year at a new college full of excitement and anticipation.  In an attempt to break out of my comfort zone I noticed Hillary and her friends at a social event and started up conversation.  Little did I know that in a few weeks I'd develop feelings for that beautiful woman.  Who'd have thought that a polite interaction would turn into a deep and wonderful friendship?  God did.  I can honestly say I've never pursued a woman so patiently before.  (Sweetheart, you really made me earn you!)  I learn so much about Jesus Christ through her.  She continually shows me how to look to the needs of others, as she constantly looks toward mine.  She sees strengths in me that I fail to acknowledge.  She is the helper fit for me.  The blessing I have in her is too deep to fathom, but thankfully I have my whole life with her to discover it.
